Sun setting on our industry

And no concern from me

Our policy is to drop the bar,

Cosatu members we’ll all be

Tho’ this tide makes our country weak

you’ll not hear me moan

When factory doors closed they creek

And we can stay at home

ANC schooling, sure it’s hell

Leaves our children in the dark

And if in Grade 8 I still can’t spell

I will get a pass mark

18 years us born in this lovely place

Have not got very far

I hope to see new leaders in this space

Who will finally raise the bar!
