Hugh Jackman, 46, has suffered a vocal haemorrhage.
The actor has been forced to cancel the remaining dates of his one-man show, An Evening with Hugh Jackman, in Istanbul, Turkey, this week after blood vessels on his left vocal chord burst, but has promised fans he will be rescheduling the dates.
He tweeted: “Merhaba. I have a left vocal hemorrhage. At advice of Dr Kocak Dr Korovin I will cancel my shows in Turkey. Make no mistake, I’ll be back!”
He later added: “I’m devastated at not sharing my show with you tonight. For all Turks & Cannakale it’s a very important night. Was to be very special for me.” (sic)
The actor had been due to perform four gigs featuring improvisations, musical pieces and highlights from Broadway shows.
