London - Stephen Baldwin was arrested in New York on Thursday.

The 'Usual Suspects' actor - younger brother of Alec Baldwin - was initially pulled over by police after making an illegal U-turn in Harlem.

However, according to gossip website TMZ.com, during the stop, officers noticed Stephen was driving with a suspended licence, so they arrested him and charged him for being an aggravated unlicenced operator [of a motor vehicle].

He is scheduled to appear in court in October to be arraigned.

While he was in trouble with police, earlier this month, Stephen was hailed a hero after coming to the aid of a woman who suffered a seizure in a New York bar.

He was dining at the Peninsula Hotel when he spotted the woman in distress and rushed to help her.

He said: "All of a sudden every head turned because there was this loud bang. It was this girl, fallen on the floor.

"The woman started having convulsions and was foaming at the mouth. It was pretty violent."

Born-again Christian Stephen - who realised the woman was suffering an epileptic fit - kneeled down beside her, held her hand and "said a few prayers".

He added: "I wanted to make sure the young lady was OK and her breathing wasn't restricted." - Bang Showbiz
