London - Justin Bieber made a four-year-old fan's dream come true by meeting her on Monday night.

The 19-year-old pop superstar took time out from his 'Believe Tour' to see little girl Makayla Gonsalves, who is battling a rare and aggressive cancerous brain tumour, after fans campaigned for him to meet with her on Twitter last week.

Users got the hashtag #JustinMeetMakayla trending worldwide and it caught the attention of the singer's manager Scooter Braun who arranged the meet up.

Justin took a break from rehearsals for his first night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to spend time with his brave young fan and her father and he later thanked everyone involved with the Twitter campaign for making it happen.

He tweeted: "Met 5 year old Makayla yesterday thanks to all of u. She was very shy but very cute. thanks for putting us together "

Scooter tweeted about the special day and also praised Justin's 'Beliebers' for making Makayla's dream come true.

Accompanied with a photo of Justin and Makayla, he wrote: "Young Makayla was shy but she was so sweet. Thanks to @justinbieber and all the beliebers for making Makayla's dream come true. "

Makayla is a massive fan of Justin and many photos on her website http://prayformakayla.wordpress.com/ - which her parents created for her - show the youngster wearing T-shirts with her idol on the front and her bedroom covered in posters of Justin.
