Jennifer and Casper, left, began dating last autumn, just a few months after her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony ended in July 2011.

Is the sweet life turning sour for Casper Smart? Jennifer Lopez’s 25-year-old toyboy tried to paint the image of the doting step-dad this week as he played with the singer’s children during a family outing in California, but behind the scenes things look anything but rosy.

According to a source quoted in People magazine, 34-year-old J-Lo is getting tired of her dancer lover.

“Jennifer is getting frustrated with him and she's increasingly short-tempered when she's around him. He's moved into her life – and a little too easily, too. I think her family is watching him closely.”

Last month, Casper threw J-Lo a lavish birthday party aboard a yacht, but the celebrations were tainted when pictures of him entering a sleazy New York peep show surfaced.

J-Lo reportedly felt betrayed by the incident, although lawyers for the couple have since described the rumours as “false, malicious and defamatory”.

Meanwhile, People’s source claims J-Lo won’t move on until she has another love interest.

“Jennifer is the kind of girl who doesn't like to be alone. Until she finds a replacement, I think, he's around.”
