Hollywood actress Demi Moore was recently in India on a “soul-exploring” trip after her breakup with actor Ashton Kuchner, reports said on Wednesday.
Moore, 51, spoke about spirituality and showed interest in the disciplined life of Buddhist monks during a visit to Dharamsala, a centre for Tibetan Buddhism and the home in exile of the Dalai Lama, the Times of India newspaper reported.
Moore attended a conference titled The Mind and Life, chaired by the Dalai Lama, and a traditional Tibetan dance performance.
“She discussed intricacies of life with the monks,” a source said. “She was particularly curious about tonsured heads and the relevance in these people's lives.”
“I am learning something from this special trip,” Moore was quoted as saying.
Moore reportedly plans to visit the Sikh shrine of the Golden Temple in Amritsar on a future trip. - Sapa-dpa
