Emily Deschanel has given birth to a boy.
The 38-year-old, who already has 3-year-old son Henry with husband David Hornsby, confirmed she was expecting her second child in December, and has now given birth to the tot, revealed by her representatives.
The couple are yet to announce their child’s name, but the Bones star recently spoke about family life with her first son, saying she has plenty of help at home.
She said: “I have a great nanny who is there with me all day, every day. (Henry) will come to set and hang out just off camera. I can’t say he’s been silent the whole time, but I have a wonderful situation where I get to see my baby through-out the day, and I can’t imagine leaving him home at this point. But I know so many friends who have regular jobs and can’t take their baby to work, so I feel incredibly, incredibly lucky.”
Meanwhile, Emily’s 35-year-old sister, New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel is also currently pregnant with fiancé Jacob Pachenik, and is expected to give birth over the summer.
Announcing her pregnancy in January, she said: “Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one.”
