After dating for only eight months, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are ready to tie the knot.
The actors will wed this year in South Africa where Penn, 53, is directing Theron, 38, in the love story The Last Face, Us Weekly reported on Wednesday.
The couple also want to adopt a baby shortly after saying their vows, it was claimed. “They want to get married soon,” a source said.
While Penn and Theron have not been in a romance for long, they have been friends for 18 years. “Charlize has seen Sean grow up,” added the insider. “He’s a wiser soul and much more patient.”
As for adopting a baby, that will also come soon.
“Charlize always intended to have another child,” a source said. She already has son Jackson, aged 2.
And, the ex-husband of Madonna and Robin Wright – with whom he has two children (Dylan, 23, and Hopper, 20) – has been bonding with Jackson.
“He is a father figure to him,” Us Weekly said.
Penn arrived in Cape Town on Tuesday for his directorial effort about a doctor, played by Charlize, who does humanitarian relief work in Africa amid violent political conflicts.
“She meets another doctor (Javier Bardem) who is doing the same work, and the story revolves around tough moral decisions that must be made during a time of civil unrest,” according to entertainment site Deadline.
The couple were last seen together on July 7 in Paris during the Christian Dior show.
