I said... she is a Legend. A Star that will shine brighter than anyone of us will ever be. Let her rest you judgemental cows and deal with your own issues (alcohol, cigarettes, drugs etc) - you know who you are.

Whitney Houston is a Legend. If you don't get that...well, keep trying. She is a STAR always. God Bless her Soul always.

A wasted talent; yes. Gone to hell? We don't know... All of you damning this woman will have to answer to the Almighty one day. YOU don't know what her relationship with God was. I don't know about you, but MY God is a forgiving God and HE will never forsake His children. We can just pray that Ms Houston accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour.

It was not criticising her, simply implying that, given her talent, she could have been so much more! You say she is a legend...and that's fine. Your statement, like my opinion, is purely subjective. Bob (Marley) is a legend to me...so...to each his own

whitney was no God's person,so she does'nt deserve no one's tears reguadless of what she sang or did,if any of u is lucky enough to get to Heaven, believe me u wont find this person there.its ok sing her songs learn from her songs of which she cud'nt do herself, dont be suprised to find out that all this songs u like so much does not have reversed subliminal worship to satan like all jay-z's songs, beyonce's songs'gaga's songs, justin biber, rehanah, willow smith, madona, kanye west, lil wayne etc.u think u know but u dont know nothing.so be warned, illuminati is on the go,watch out for this year 2012-12-23.now ull know whats going on out there.

u know u r rite,no one is perfect, but it is one's choice to sell their souls to satan, the devil never twisted no one's hand and said give me ur soul, all the devil did was to show them the kindom of this world and its riches just like he tried to do with the Most High JESUS our LORD and saviour, and what did these musicians do,they willingly sould their souls to satan for fame and riches and when the devil wants whats due to him its difficult for these ppl and for that they dnt have peace reguardless of their riches, thats y they resort to drugs, booze and sleepng around,at the end the story ends the same, look at alvis, micheal jackson, tupac, bigdaddy, brenda fassie,tk.they soled their souls and when the contract with the devil is over its over.if u dont believe me try this link:tubity.mobi and download this.illuminati in music industry.ull find all these satanists with their music having backwards messages to satan.and telling ppl that they are luciferians(satanists)so whitney's soul will never rest in peace cos the devil owns it unless there's peace in hell of which we know there is'nt.so dnt be fooled.i urge u all to learn more about illuminati, freemasonry and luciferians, i promise ur eyes will be opened for the best.

I took a lesson from her rendition of The Greates Love Of All, originally done by George Benson. I embraced the message, and it proppelled me to gretaer heights of achievements in life, that was the mid 80s, and that was the start of a long relationship with her in a song. She continued the onslaught of message laden hit after hit, and the delivery was through such rich, powerfula nd unique voice such that when she re-did the Miss Parton 'I Will Alwys Love You', one could only exhale in a sigh that says it all, it was a collective climax! Dolly was smitten too, she made more money from it tahn she did with her release. Now just listen to any of her great tunes, hear how she manages to rise and fall with her vocals, the quiver of her vocal strings.., amazing hey, then came Bobby. We can say what we want, good or bad, she may have lost her plot here and there, she was also human. Of course we do have relatives and friends we could and should mourn, but we cannot ignore her contribution to the world, and for people like me who took a leaf from her book of song, I say I lost someone. Miles Monroe once said, 'The Graveyard is The Richest Place in The World, there lies a book that was never writte, a song that was never sung, etc...' For Whitney, didn't almost have it all?, sucker graveyard wont find a thing there. Now I know where do broken hearts go.

@Anonymous & @unimpressed, Whitney was the biggest vocalist of her time, influencing Christina, Mariah, Leona, Jennifer, Beyonce & every power balladeer since. That’s what she contributed. Unfortunately, like many other undisputed artistic geniuses & pioneers; think Miles Davis, M J, Elvis, Ray Charles, Brenda Fassie, their star wanes towards the end ..& the younger ones: Jimi Hendrix, Amy etc. The above were all THE BEST at their game & all suffered from serious addiction, preion or not. I believe they should be remembered for the joy & genius they shared with us and not their demons. There’s very few people who remain relevant and on top for the duration of their career. So it’s unfair to ask about her contribution in the last 15 years. It’s a tough industry, there’s pressure, new talent etc. Being in the spotlight, I suppose, can also magnify one’s demons. It’s another sad cautionary tale to all artists out there who want to be at the top at all cost.

@matrix well said,do this ppl think cos u r a musician now u r cool and stuff, just like beyonce,rehanha,gaga,jay-z,etc she was a devilworshiper,so u tell me about her being a child of God,just tell me how was she a child of God,bcos all she did was against God,during her life, who was pleased by her way of living,God or the devil?dnt tell me about her being God's child, drug addict, drunker, sleeping around, who does all this elements represent?and if ur answr is God u r lost urself.God gave her the talent to worship and praise Him,and what did she do,and u got guts to say there's no hell,if only it was possible u wud ask her now where she's at.oh she was the best,i bet u dont even have one cd of hers but u run ur big mouth.

Miss Marley?????????????? clearly you were born in the late 90s as this woman IS A LEGEND!!!!! there will never be another like her, we need to stop concentrating on what a waste it was, (the last days of her life) and celebrate what a beautiful soul she had, so graceful and decent, so soft and loving, with a flawless voice, one of a kind!!!! we should be glad that we had the chance to hear MUSIC!!!! no one is perfect!

To all you haters out there, Whitney was and still is THE BEST. Even though she had problems she never paraded around half naked like Gaga, Madonna, Britney, Beyonce and Mariah to name a few, not forgetting Rihanna. Who are you to judge! She was and is a child of GOD!
