Shia LaBeouf has been ordered to complete a substance abuse treatment program after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

The 'Transformers' actor will have to complete three months of substance abuse treatment after a Manhattan judge brokered a deal with the 28-year-old star on Wednesday (10.09.14) as part of his disorderly conduct case.

According to the New York Daily News, Judge Diana Boyar said: “You must come to court each time the case is on. There must be no new arrests.”

If Shia failed to comply with her rules, Diana added that “all bets would be off”.

It is likely that the violation will be expunged from his permanent record if he completes the treatment and stays out of trouble for the next six months.

Following the New York court case, the actor's attorney, Robert Gage said: “We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the resolution of the matter by the district attorney's office.”

He was originally arrested on June 26, after he disrupted a Broadway performance of 'Caberet' which starred Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams.

At the time, it was reported that Shia had caused a scene during the first act and was later accused of spitting at the police who came to escort him off the property.

The case has now been adjourned to November 12 in accordance with Shia's compliance.
