Kanye West only eats from designer crockery.

The rapper - who is dating Kim Kardashian - is a fan of tableware from the Hermes brand and refuses to consume food from much cheaper dining pieces.

Apparently his favourite plates cost around £700 each and he also has gold cutlery worth worth £4500 according to reports.

A source told The Sun: "Kanye is very particular about his plates and cutlery. Everything is the best quality."

His requirements are sure to impress girlfriend Kim who owns bags from the designer's Birkin line as well as their belts.

She could also be seen picking out the dishes as a wedding gift in an episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' which detailed the lead up to her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries.

Kanye can certainly afford to live lavishly. His 'Watch The Throne' tour with Jay-Z has made £30million despite not yet being completed.

Meanwhile the style icon has been giving style tips to his latest partner.

A source said: "Kanye has been having chats with Kim about her style.

"He thinks she should be more like him, edgy with her choices. He keeps saying she should 'evolve' as a fashion icon. - Bang Showbiz
