OJ Simpson was ready to take his own life in Kim Kardashian’s bedroom after his ex-wife was murdered in 1994.

Kim was just 14-years-old at the time.

Simpson was allegedly discovered by Kim’s father, the late Robert Kardashian, in the midst of recording a suicide tape. Simpson had been hiding at Kardashian’s Los Angeles mansion after being named as the prime suspect in the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The incident allegedly took place just hours before the dramatic car chase that became one of the iconic moments of the 90s.

According to Lawrence Schiller, the author of American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the O.J. Simpson Defense, Kardashian tried to talk Simpson out of it. At the time, Kardashian, who by then had already divorced Kris Jenner, was Simpson’’s legal adviser.

In a pre-recorded interview, Kardashian claimed: “O.J. said, ‘I'm going to kill myself in this room,’ and I said, ‘You can't. This is my daughter's bedroom. My little girl Kim sleeps here. I can't have my little girl in this bedroom, and every time I come in here, I'm going to see your body lying in this. You can't do that’.”

The OJ Simpson murder trial caused a lot of strife in the Kardashian household, as Kris Jenner had been a close friend of Nicole Brown Simpson. The Kardashian offspring have in the past talked about how they felt forced to choose between their parents during the trial.

Meanwhile, a true crime anthology TV series about the Simpson trial is in the works.

The production will see Cuba Gooding, Jr. playing O.J., while John Travolta plays his attorney Robert Shapiro.

Former Friends star David Schwimmer has signed up to play Robert Kardashian and has reportedly been talking to Kris about how best to portray her ex-husband. – Entertainment Reporter
