Led Zeppelin Celebration Day will screen at Ster Kinekor cinemas from November 2 to 4 for four screenings.

The English rock band took to London O2 Arena on December 10, 2007, for a tribute concert for friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. According to Wikipedia the concert holds the 2009 Guinness World Record for the “highest demand for tickets for one music concert” – 20 million requests for the reunion show were rendered online.

Led Zeppelin founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham (son of their late drum-mer John Bonham) in a concert attended by 18 000 fans.

At just more than two hours, the concert features 16 songs including well known tracks like Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven. It was the first headline show the band played in more than 27 years and five years later, South African fans can catch the concert on the big screen.
