Popular Indian actress, Asin, makes a comeback to South Indian film after exploring her options in Bollywood, while another South beauty Abhinaya, is breaking into the latter film industry. OneIndia.in’s Ramchander reports…

Her last outing in South Indian films was an average movie after which she left to pursue a career in Bollywood.

Now, after more than three years, she is all set to return. We are talking about Malayali girl Asin Thottumkal, who was on the verge of becoming a top actress in the South Indian films before changing her base to the Hindi films. Now, she is getting ready for a comeback.

The Malayali babe is in talks for a movie and it appears as though she has given the film the nod.

Insiders have kept mum on the details of the film and its cast and crew at this stage, but it has been confirmed that the actress is game to act in a South Indian film.

She gave a hint of the return on Twitter. On the social networking site, she wrote, “Exclusive: There is good news for all Asin south fans..!!! We would announce it when the right time comes”.

For many of her fans and well-wishers, it is not clear whether Asin kept herself away or whether there were any hidden reasons behind her exile.

When Asin had gone to Sri Lanka to shoot her Hindi movie Ready, this had sparked a controversy and many Tamil groups had demanded the industry ban her.

But Asin had given her clarification and said she could not go against the makers of the movie’s decision to shoot in Sri Lanka. The issue later died down.

Her return to South film has given relief to her South Indian fans, who have been desperately waiting to see on screen again.

Meanwhile, South Indian beauty Abhinaya, who shot to fame with her debut Tamil movie Naadodigal, has entered Bollywood.

The supporting actress has ventured into Hindi films with Dhanush and Akshara Hassan starrer movie Shamitabh.

She took part in the shooting recently with Dhanush and Hassan in Mumbai. She is playing a main character.

After watching some of her Tamil films, the makers of the film decided to cast her. She has shot her portions for a few days, while a song with the hero of the film is still pending.

”She has completed a few days of shoot for the film and will again resume shooting for a song with Dhanush in the coming weeks,” her father told the Times of India.

In her five-year career, Abhinaya has appeared in about 20 movies in multiple languages. She has worked in all the South Indian film industries – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Vizhithiru, Poojai and Mela Thaalam are her forthcoming Tamil movies. – oneindia.in
