Be they foot-tapping folk songs or dramatised action sequences, the North Indian audience has received remakes of South Indian movies with open arms.

The latest movie to join the list will probably be Vijay’s Kaththi and it looks like Akshay Kumar, who has remade Vijay’s Thuppakki, is eyeing Kaththi too. It’s unclear whether AR Murugadoss will also direct the Hindi version, but insiders say the remake will be decided on Kaththi’s run in the South.

If the movie is a hit, then the remake will begin sooner than expected. Kumar, who basked in glory with his Telugu and Tamil remakes, will be keen to know Kaththi’s success when it hits the movie screens on Wednesday. – Oneindia.in
