SOME great entertainment will soon be on offer in Durban and Joburg when Udit Narayan and The Zee Stars perform in the cities.
Narayan, who performed to sold-out concerts and received rave reviews two years ago in South Africa, is back by public demand. He brings his musicians from India, for a two-concert tour of the country.
He will be joined on stage by five Zee TV Stars – the heart-throb Karan V Grover (Raj) and Srishty Rode (Sarita) of the series Punar Vivah; and Roopal Tyagi (Gunjan) and Ankit Gera (Mayank) of the series Sapne Suhane Ladakpanke. Also featured will be Vikrant Massey (Ayaan) from Qubool Hai.
The concerts will take place on November 30 at the ICC Arena in Durban at 7.30pm and at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on December 1 at 5.30pm.
Narayan is one of India’s popular playback singers.
His big hit and No 1 song in South Africa last year, Radha on the Dance Floor (from the movie Student of the Year), remains a popular choice among local fans.
Narayan has sung more than 15 000 songs in more than 30 languages for Bollywood movies.
He has won three National Film Awards and five Film Fare Awards.
He has performed more than 1 050 stage shows worldwide.
Narayan has been hailed as the king of melody.
Meanwhile, Indian soapies have become somewhat of a phenomenon in South Africa over the years, with the most popular channel being Zee TV.
So fans can also look forward to a feast of entertain-ment with their favourite stars like Raj, Sarita, Mayank, Gunjan and Ayaan all in one mega concert.
