Cape Town will get a little “Rock 'n Roll blessing” when the bands playing at OppiKoppi perform for one night in the city, Hilltop Live Productions said on Wednesday.

Hilltop Live and South African music channel MK would host “One Night in Cape Town” at the Grand West Casino on August 9, the production company said in a statement.

“Rock out with Seether, Enter Shikari, Bullet For My Valentine, Eagles of Death Metal and KONGOS especially for those unable to get to the OppiKoppi Sweet Thing Festival,” it said.

Seether, made up of South African trio Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart and John Humphrey, last performed in South Africa in June 2008.

The band has sold millions of albums worldwide and is a mainstay on the touring circuit, averaging more than 275 performances a year.

International band Enter Shikari, was given Kerrang! magazine's best live band award on June 7. British band Bullet For My Valentine, Californian cult heroes Eagles of Death Metal and KONGOS would also perform.

Tickets for the Cape Town show are available from Computicket at a cost of between R380 and R450. - Sapa
