GIG OF THE WEEK

An evening with John Legend

Moses Mabhida Stadium (tonight)

TALL, dark and handsome, with a voice that’s out of this world. That pretty much sums up nine-time Grammy Award-winner, John Legend. And if you haven’t already heard, the All of Me singer will be sweeping audiences off their feet in Durban tonight as part of his South African tour.

Presented by KDM, Kaya FM, East Coast Radio, M-Net, True Love and the eThekwini Municipality, the show takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. The Big Concerts website states that the An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour has sold out in more than 60 cities in the US and features the singer in an intimate setting, highlighted by guitar and vocal accompaniment as well as a string quartet.

“I’ve enjoyed this tour immensely. The opportunity to get up close and personal with my fans and tell my story has been so much fun for me,” said Legend.

Fans can expect to hear his smash single All of Me from his acclaimed fourth album, Love In The Future, and a mix of songs from his previous albums.

Love In The Future claimed the No 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart. It also marks Legend’s highest-selling and charting single of his career,
