INTERNATIONAL gospel sensation Kirk Franklin will be blessing Moses Mabhida Stadium, where he will be performing during the first International Gospel BLESTIVAL.

The gospel concert, organised by the World Gospel PowerHouse, promises a spectacular and Holy Spirit-filled experience for Christians and gospel music lovers on December 7.

Franklin is an American gospel musician, choir director, and author.

He is known for leading urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew (1NC), and has won multiple awards.

Franklin will also perform at the Rhema Bible Church in Johannesburg on December 6, before coming to Durban where he will share the stage with local gospel artists, including Rebecca Malope, Benjamin Dube, Sifiso Ncwane, Ntokozo Mbambo, Dumi Mkokstad and others.

President of the World Gospel PowerHouse, Zanele Mbokazi Nkambule, said the event was essentially “a mega gospel festival”.

“We choose to call it a BLESTIVAL because we know everyone who will be at Moses Mabhida will be blessed.

“This is one event not to be missed by any Christian or gospel music lover,” Nkambule said.

Events manager Zama Mkhize said the organisers would be bringing the best in gospel music for the event.

“Kirk Franklin has both the message, the energy for the stadium and those beautiful sing-along songs like My Life is in Your Hands which the South African public likes,” Mkhize said.

Pastor Clive Gopal, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, Pastor Colin la Foy and others will preach short messages throughout the day.

Tickets are available at Computicket. - Daily News
