GIG OF THE WEEK

Neon Run – Various Artists

Wanderers Stadium (tomorrow)

As we step into winter, one thing is certain, few of us will brave the cold to work out. So perhaps the Neon Run Night-Time Spectacular will inspire you to brave the nippy atmosphere.

Taking place tomorrow, the event is a colourful affair of UV, neon paint, graffiti and lasers all happening at night. You can be part of the proceedings by joining thousands of runners, joggers and walkers who will try to complete a course that includes manoeuvring through glow stations. They celebrate after the race with a party and a laser light show and several musical acts will perform, including MiCasa, Rubber Duc and The Illustrators. Some of these musicians will also be taking part in the run so you will need to look around you to see them.

Joining the musicians will be a line-up of DJs including Nick Hamman, Chris Taylor, Vic Naidoo and Roger Goode. If you take part you stand a chance of winning the use of a Mitsubishi car for a year. – Munya Vomo
