IT’S time to get those bikini bodies ready and head down to the beach as amazing entertainment is on offer from December 12 to 15, with the three-day iBeach Xperience music and lifestyle festival to look forward to.
Going down throughout the iLembe District on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast, the major events take place on the beaches of Blythe-dale, Zinkwazi and Sandy Shores at the Tugela mouth.
The killer music line-up features Zakes Bantwini, Heavy K, DJ Ganyani, Naima Kay, DJ Tira, Oskido, Euphonik, DJ Zinhle, Donald and more.
Having released his much anticipated album, The Fake Book & Real Book – My Music Bible, Durban-based music mogul Zakes Bantwini ( pictured) is a crowd pleaser who never disappoints. Over the years, he has become known as an artist who wants to change the world with his music.
Then, there’s Port Elizabeth producer, composer and DJ Heavy K (aka Mkhululi Siqula), who wrote kwaito artist Professor’s award-winning track, Lento. Signed to the Kalawa Jazmee stable of the legendary Oskido, Heavy K has performed with artists such as Big Nuzz, Black Coffee, Mahoota, Professor, Speedy and more.
Legendary house music DJ and producer Oskido is also on the bill.
The man behind some of the greatest dance records of the past decade is sure to have the crowd celebrating summer with the best house music around.
Euphonik and DJ Tira are sure to get the crowds jumping too.
Having worked on five continents and opened for major acts such as Swedish House Mafia, Avicci, Afrojack and Skrillex, Euphonik has earned his place as a respected and talented DJ.
Durban’s DJ Tira is a well-respected kwaito DJ, producer and businessman.
As the owner of Afrotainment, he oversees the careers of Big Nuz, Afrosoul and DJ Cndo. He is sure to burn up the dance floors.
So what can people expect this year? According to organiser Lindelani Mkhize, it will be a weekend of lifestyle and music activities: “People will have fun in a great environment and atmosphere. Expect the best from the iBeach Xperience.”
