Little Mix scoop top spot

London - X Factor talent show winners Little Mix took the top spot in the singles chart this week, while Kosovan-born Rita Ora topped the album chart with her debut release after a string of hit singles, the Official Charts Company said on Sunday.

The girl-group Little Mix won X Factor last year, and scored their second number one single this week with Wings, the singles chart's only new entry.

Urban singer Ora's eponymous debut Ora dislodged last week's number one Our Version of Events by Emeli Sande, and includes three number one singles.

Sande's album benefited from an Olympic boost after her performance at the Games' opening and closing ceremonies. Fellow Olympic performers Elbow are also in the album top 10 with new entry Dead In The Boot, a B-sides compilation.

Icelandic indie-folksters Of Monsters & Men were the album chart's only other new entry this week, with their debut release My Head Is An Animal coming in at number three. - Reuters
