Mandoza, an ‘amazing father, husband’ to the end

The kwaito legend Mduduzi 'Mandoza' Tshabalala who passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer is about to be laid to rest at West Park cemetery today after a funeral service filled with music, tears and shared memories.

The most touching moment was when his wife shared his poignant words to her on the day he died - which happened to be her birthday.

After asking her what time it was, she replied that it was 5.15am. He then vowed: "I'll give you a present today...I'm going to fight this sickness."

Mourners gave a collective sigh of sorrow.
