Mel B’s ‘sad’ Jubilee momentComment on this story
Mel B was heartbroken the Spice Girls didn't perform at last night's (04.06.12) Diamond Jubliee concert.
A star-studded show was held outside London's Buckingham Palace to mark Queen Elizabeth's 60 years on the British throne and while Mel loved watching the footage on TV, she wished she and her former bandmates - Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham - could've taken part.
She tweeted: "makes me sooo sad spice girls wasn't part of the queens jubilee, break my heart big time,i was so up for it,watched some of it on tv,amazing! (sic)"
And it seems Mel B wasn't the only Spice Girl who wanted to be up on stage - Mel C and Emma were also keen to take part.
Mel C tweeted: "Bit miffed I'm not down at Buckingham Palace :-( x (sic")
While Emma didn't say anything directly, she kept retweeting her followers who said the Spice Girls should have been involved.
She retweeted: "Ok im not being funny but the Spice Girls should of been on this and trust me they would have smashed it!! #jubileeconcert (sic)"
It had been reported the Spice Girls were asked by organiser Gary Barlow to take part, but Victoria - who now lives in Los Angeles and has forged a successful fashion career - didn't want to reunite.
Stars who did perform included Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones and Madness. - Bang Showbiz
