GOSPEL and R&B hit maker BeBe Winans will be gracing our shores once again.

Not only will he be performing for his fans, he will also be recording a live DVD.

Carnival City will host the six- time Grammy Award winner this weekend at the popular Big Top Arena venue.

He last visited South Africa in 2011 when he performed at the Cape Town Jazz Festival.

His equally talented sister, CeCe, was in the country last year with the legendary Donny McClurkin for the annual Ayihlome Gospel Concert held in Durban.

BeBe Winans has won more than 25 accolades from different music award associations.

His major hit, I Wanna Be the Only One, launched him into stardom in 1997, and he has not looked back.

Winans started his own record label in 2003, called The Movement Group.

He is also the host of his own radio programme, The BeBe Winans Radio Show.

Tickets for the live recording are available at Computicket from R300.

Local Afro-pop group and SA Music Award winners Jaziel Brothers will open for Winans on both days of the performance, supported by a live band.

The Saturday show will begin at 7pm while the Sunday show will start a little earlier, at 4pm. - The Star
