Wonderboom drummer dies

London - Wonderboom drummer Garth McLeod has died.

The musician was killed after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Gauteng, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

The band’s frontman Cito told the magazine that the accident happened on Friday morning.

McLeod, a former member of popular rock band Sugardrive, joined Wonderboom in 1999 replacing Danny de Wet.

Fans and friends sent their condolences to McLeod’s family via social networking sites on Friday. - IOL
