It didn’t take long for YouTubers to spoof the controversial video for Miley Cyrus’s latest song Wrecking Ball, which came hot on the heels of her raunchy MTV Video Music Awards performance with Robin Thicke.
With images of a Cyrus swinging on a wrecking ball naked and licking a hammer, a strong reaction was hardly surprising. The video caused an outcry amongst conservative viewers and Miley critics and was slated by the Parents Television Council, of which the singer’s father Billy Ray Cyrus is member.
Others, however, have taken a less serious view of the music video.
The video, which holds the Vevo record for the most played video in a single day, received 12.3 million views in 24 hours.
