George Clooney has stocked his local pub with his own brand of tequila.

When he realised the boozer in Berkshire, South East England, didn't sell his favourite drink, the 'Tomorrowland' star gave them some bottles to put behind the bar.

He said: “There's this great pub we go to. It's fantastic and we drink all kinds of pints and things. I bought them a few bottles of my tequila - I deliver now.”

The 54-year-old actor created Casamigos tequila - which loosely translates to 'house of friends' - for his personal consumption before deciding to mass produce and release it nationally across the United States and Canada.

George married his wife Amal Clooney in a star studded wedding on Lake Como, Italy, last September and recently bought a £10 million mansion in Sonning.

Speaking on 'The Graham Norton Show', the Hollywood heartthrob said: “We've bought a place in a wonderful little town ... we are re-doing the house so we can live in it, which would be nice.

“We will move in there in a couple of months. We do normal things. There's a great pub we go to. It's fantastic and we drink all kinds of pints of things.”

The tequila - which the actor created with Rande Gerber, husband of Cindy Crawford, and businessman Mike Meldman - was launched in TGI Fridays in the US and Canada this month and is available in Blanco, Reposado and Anejo flavours. Although there are plans in the pipeline to release it worldwide - it is likely that the pub in Sonning is the first place to sell it in the UK.

Meanwhile, George made an appearance on 'Good Morning Britain' and joked with Ross King about not being asked back to film more scenes for 'Downton Abbey' after his cameo in a sketch.

He said: “I've been thinking about it a lot and I think since I nearly destroyed the Batman franchise, I could hurt that series really badly if I came back so they've asked me not to come back.”
