Caitlyn Jenner thinks Laverne Cox is “fierce and fabulous”.

The 65-year-old star – who recently transitioned to a woman – has praised the transsexual 'Orange is the New Black' actress for supporting her and the “community”.

She tweeted: “.@LaverneCox, you are fierce and fabulous! Your support means the world. Thank you for all that you do for the community. #TransIsBeautiful (sic).”

Caitlyn's comments come after the 31-year-old beauty openly celebrated her on numerous occasions, including in a blog post which she posted on Tumblr.

She wrote: “I am so moved by all the love and support Caitlyn is receiving.

“It feels like a new day, indeed, when a trans person can present her authentic self to the world for the first time and be celebrated for it so universally.

“For me it is necessary everyday to celebrate every aspect of myself especially those things about myself that don't align with other people's ideas about what is beautiful.

“#TransIsBeautiful is about, whether you're trans or not, celebrating all those things that make us uniquely ourselves. (sic)”

Laverne has since expanded on her post by saying the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is “inspiring” because she has such “grace and elegance”.

She said: “I can't imagine transitioning publicly.

“I feel was such a mess in my early transition, and the grace and elegance that she has at this stage is just, it's inspiring.”
