London - Lindsay Lohan's family keep her sane.

The troubled actress - who has endured a string of legal problems and could soon face jail for violating her probation amid claims she lied over a car accident - is thankful for the support she receives from her mother Dina and siblings Michael Jr., 25, Ali, 19, and Cody, 16.

Asked what is helping her through her problems, Lindsay - who is estranged from her father Michael - told E! News: "Family. You can't get through anything without the family. Family is everything."

The 'Liz & Dick' star recently admitted she has only just realised how much she enjoys working, and she is only just learning to adapt to having downtime.

Speaking about working on upcoming erotic thriller 'The Canyons', she said: "I needed time to figure out all the c**p in my life that I'd created for myself, essentially, and I kind of realised, 'What am I doing? I like doing this. I like being here. This makes me happy.'

"There was a line in the Elizabeth [Taylor] movie where she says, 'I'm so bored, I've never been taught what to do when I'm not working,' and I'm kind of figuring that out now." - Bang Showbiz
