Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr was in a neck brace after being injured in a car accident in Los Angeles, The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Wednesday.

Her car was rammed by another car Monday and she was taken to hospital for scans, it said.

The driver of the other car was reported to have been arrested and was likely to face reckless driving charges.

Annie Kelly, Kerr's Sydney spokeswoman, told the paper that the model was “thankful that her baby boy, Flynn, was not in the car with her.”

“She's in a lot of pain but, really, we're just glad that it wasn't more serious,” Kelly said.

Kerr, married to Hollywood heart throb Orlando Bloom, was expected to resume her modeling work within days. - Sapa-dpa
