London - Rihanna's father wants her to have children with Chris Brown.

Ronald Fenty thinks the 'Rude Boy' hitmaker would be a "great" mother and says the on/off couple - who are believed to have split again following a row at the Grammy Awards - even have his "blessing" if they want to marry because he is a big supporter of the 'Yeah 3x' singer.

It remains to be seen wether the 'Stay' singer will make up with the star, after Chris reportedly caught her texting her ex-boyfriend, rapper Drake. It is no secret that a fierce rivalry exists between Chris and Drake. They had a brawl in New York's W.i.P club last June, when the rapper allegedly refused Chris's peace offering of a bottle of champagne in the club and returned it with a note reading, "I'm f***ing the love of your life [Rihanna], deal with it".

Rihanna’s father, however, is quite fond of the ‘Don’t Judge Me’ singer.

Ronald said: "Of course they'd have my blessing [if the wanted to marry]. I would be ecstatic. I like Chris. He's a very old-fashioned kind of guy, with straight-up morals and he's always been very decent to me.

"The next thing should be to have at least one child. I would like it to happen. I'm sure she'd be a great mum."

Rihanna and Chris initially split after he assaulted her in February 2009, but Ronald - who used to beat the star's mother - thinks the 23-year-old singer deserves a second chance and shouldn't be seen as a "villain".

He added to Now magazine: "I had problems with alcohol and drugs. I know people can drink and it can change their personalities. I think Chris has learned his lesson and it's time the public left them alone to get on with their lives.

"A lot of people in Barbados still like Chris Brown. They've forgiven him as I've forgiven him.

"I wish people in the Western world would see he's not the villain he's made out to be. He shouldn't have a life sentence for one mistake. Everybody needs a second chance. It's up to him what he does with it. I think he's smart enough not to blow it again." - Bang Showbiz
