Maggie Benedict’s headache just won’t go away as the State tries to prove she stole a R17.90 packet of Panado tablets.

She was back in court on Thursday, more than two years after she was arrested at the Checkers store at Cresta Mall in Joburg.

The Ashes to Ashes actress says she had the tablets in her bag for her “frequent” headaches, but hadn’t opened the packet yet.

But the cops don’t believe her.

Prosecutor Yusuf Baba told the court she was guilty of theft.

“Three weeks after they were bought, the pills were still sealed, yet she suffers frequent headaches!”

Benedict will hear her fate next month when judgment is delivered.
