Minnie Dlamini and her friend Nonhle Ndala tag-teamed against a Sunday newspaper to slate a story written about them.

The TV presenter and Diski Divas reality TV star took to social media on Sunday to say that the Minnie Gets A Scolding story in Sunday’s edition of the paper was false.

The story alleges that Dlamini tried to borrow money from Ndala’s boyfriend, Orlando Pirates player Andile Jali. The story adds that Ndala confronted Dlamini and “told Minnie where to get off”.

Dlamini shared a picture of the paper on Twitter and wrote: “This is beyond disgusting!!!” She tweeted again: “An attack on my character and integrity. Nonhle Ndala herself refuted this lie on Instagram today. Black media is quick to destroy vs build! (The paper) is a prime example of #junkyardjournalism in SA: unethical, unprofessional and irresponsible. I am angered by their FALSE report.”

Ndala was equally infuriated. She wrote on Instagram: “This is so ridiculous! Clearly some people don’t have the journalistic integrity to verify facts. @minniedlamini we need to address this together… it’s sad that people thrive on misery and create stories to destroy your public image.

“@minniedlamini has never ever borrowed money from any of us. She is an independent, assertive, intelligent businesswoman, who continues to grow her empire, an inspiration to the youth and a great role model.”

She added: “It saddens me how bitter people are that they thrive on attempting to destroying something so beautiful.”

Dlamini is known for publicly slating tabloid articles about herself and has reportedly laid a charge against a weekly magazine for a story in a March edition that stated Dlamini was broke and in debt.
