SPOTLIGHT Productions is set to party with a cause this week when it hosts a celebration of some of the world’s most popular artists, all in aid of charity.

Nicole Mills from Spotlight explained the company’s passion for the arts and helping out through its show, Late Nite Live: “Everyone in our company is from different professional backgrounds, but we are all passionate about theatre. The show will be a mix of song and dance, showcasing famous artists from across the world. The show is themed around the Late Nite Radio Show. We will have a DJ on stage who will be linking the different segments of the show,” she said.

Expect to hear hits songs by the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, Elton John, Maroon 5 and more.

Mills said all proceeds will go towards helping Durban’s Laila Rose, aged 3, who suffers from hemifacial microsomia – a congenital disorder that affects the development of the lower half of the face.

The second beneficiary will be the Hillside Haven animal sanctuary. The organisation takes in animals that are born with disabilities which would normally have to be put down and rehabilitates them.

• Late Nite Live runs at DHS’s Seabrooke’s Theatre from Wednesday to Saturday. R80 for the matinee, R100 for evening shows. Call Kirsten at 079 429 2898 to book.
