Acclaimed musical icon Robin Gibb hasn’t yet been laid to rest, and already there’s a squabble about his estate.

According to the Daily Mail, Gibbs’ widow Dwina fears that the mother of his love child will demand more cash.

Gibb fathered a child with his housekeeper Claire Yang. After a year of legal wrangling, Yang agreed to a one-off child maintanence payment of £4million in January. Now Dwina is convinced that Yang will seek more of Gibb’s estimated £140million fortune.

A family source has revealed that Dwina was upset by the legal battle for money which occurred while Gibb was undergoing hospital treatment.

“If Claire does go to the funeral she will be keeping her distance from Dwina and it will be awkward. Robin never walked away from his responsibilities and always made sure the child was fully provided for,” said the source.

“Snow Robin is a Gibb child so will be treated exactly the same as the other three children. It is not about the money but it is the nature of the lengthy legal process which distressed Dwina and the family.”

Gibb, who died on May 20 from liver and colon cancer had a long-term affair with Yang. Dwina, who turned a blind eye to his affairs in the past, asked Yang to leave after she fell pregnant. Friends later confirmed that Yang had hoped she and Gibb would have a future together, but Gibb told her that he would never leave his wife.
