Nicole Scherzinger has backed Britney Spears for the American X Factor job.
The pop princess has been tipped as one of the two new judges on the panel of the reality TV show, replacing Nicole and Paula Abdul, and the former Pussycat Doll has given Britney her support.
She told E! News: “Britney is so bubbly and warm and everyone loves her anyway, so she just has to be herself.
“I think that it's something that we can't deny, but there's something about Britney that we... are always rooting for her and behind her no matter what.”
British singer Jessie J also believes Britney would be a great judge, because she has been through it all before.
She said: “I think it's really important to have people who have lived it. They can understand what these artists who are auditioning go through and really know how it feels to have rejection and have success. And I think that she's someone who's shown how to have a career with longevity. I think it's definitely something that the show [needs].”
Britney is said to be close to signing a deal to appear on the show, which would see her pay exceed the $12-million which Jennifer Lopez makes from starring in rival series American Idol. - Bang Showbiz
