“Wolf of Wall Street” star Margot Robbie is said to be the new object of Ben Affleck’s affection and the pair will be spending plenty of time together as they film their new venture Suicide Squad.
Affleck only recently announced his impending divorce from wife of ten years Jennifer Garner, but already the rumour mill is at work, trying to piece together why a seemingly happy marriage fell apart.
Australian magazine Woman’s Day revealed, according to a source, that Affleck had (developed serious feelings” for 25-year-old Robbie.
The source added that “Ben has had the hots for Margot ever since he saw her in The Wolf Of Wall Street”.
The credibility of the source has been questioned: reports from the Suicide Squad set in Toronto is that Affleck and Robbie have barely spent any time in each other’s company. Robbie, meanwhile, has been spotted out and about with her British boyfriend Tom Ackerley. the couple, who have been dating for a year, wore matching gold bands on their wedding ring fingers.
Affleck and Garner announced their divorce on Tuesday last week. In a statement, the couple said: “After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.
“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.
“This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”
