Are Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis heading for a split?
According to the Daily Mail, rumours are circulating that the couple’s 14-year relationship has hit the rocks. Depp and Paradis, who have two children together, are reportedly ready to part ways due to constant bickering.
So says a source who spoke to gossip website RadarOnline saying: “People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now. Johnny isn't handling anything well right now.”
The soucre goes on to say that Depp has even gone so far as to consult lawyers about the matter.
“Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They're not married but they've been together for years and have kids together so it isn't as easy as just breaking up. Johnny is so talented at acting, but he doesn't seem able to hide how badly things are going right now.”
Though, in recent interviews, the 48-year-old Depp expressed his love for Paradis, the rift between the two actors appears to have been brewing since April last year when a French magazine splashed a picture of Depp appearing to kiss another woman across its front page.
That woman was Robin Baum, Depp’s publicist who had accompanied the star to an event in Hollywood while Paradis stayed home in France with the children.
At the time, the magazine wrote: “Are Johnny and Vanessa heading for a split?
“Whenever Johnny and Vanessa are rumoured to be having relationship problems, it's Robin who as his press officer has to deny them.
“This woman is dangerous.”
