Cat Deeley is to host new celebrity dating show 'The Choice'.

The 35-year-old star will front the Fox series which mimics the format of global smash hit singing show 'The Voice'. This follows a successful run as presenter on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.

The programme will feature four famous men who will listen to regular girls talk about about why they're the right woman for them before they spin around to see their prospective date.

Each of the celebrity's chairs will come complete with a 'love handle' that, when pulled, show each guy's romantic interest.

Just like 'The Voice', if more than one hunk pulls his lever they have to then compete for the girl's affection, while in another round of speed-dating the girl must convince the guys why they should take her out.

Fox reality TV boss Mike Darnell said: "They will go on the date, but the date is relatively insignificant" to the show. It's really about the picking and elimination."

The four famous guys are yet to be revealed but Darnell promises they "famous, successful, very attractive and single".

'The Choice' will air for six episodes from June 7.
