This comedy stars George Segal as Walter Whitney, a Jewish businessman who loses his job, connections, and wife (Susan St James) after it is revealed that he has an illegitimate son as a result of a fling he had nearly two decades ago with a black woman. Cut off from his affluent lifestyle, Walter is forced do blue-collar work in a depressed economy and hence to appreciate some of the obstacles his half-black son (Denzel Washington) faces.

Mike takes on a humanitarian case that could jeopardise firm business. Jessica wrestles with maintaining distance between her and Jeff Malone. Louis fights for the respect a named partner deserves.

BOARDING SCHOOL: BOYS TO MEN, BBC Knowledge, 9pm

The fascination with the English boarding school, often regarded as the privileged training ground for future politicians and business leaders, has increased thanks to fictional depictions like Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. This documentary reveals how the boarding school system has shaped a group of men first filmed by the BBC 33 years ago in an elite boy’s school, Radley College.
