First it was Trevor Noah getting the job of a lifetime with Comedy Central’s The Today Show and now it’s the host of the Emmy nominated e.tv show, Late Night News with Loyiso Gola host who just hit the big time.
Gola made his debut on popular Australian late night satirical show, The Weekly, on Wednesday. He is set to join the show, hosted by Charlie Pickering, as a correspondent.
It’s a great time for local comedians who have seen success beyond our borders. Is it us or is it becoming easier for our talent to be shown?
Soon some of our quality TV shows will be shown in other countries and that will only improve the quality of our productions, which is a win-win for everybody, especially the viewers.
