'Jersey Shore's Deena Cortese has been arrested.

The reality TV star was arrested yesterday (11.06.12) in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the MTV programme is filmed, on a disorderly conduct charge after an officer spotted her looking "a little intoxicated".

Police Chief Tommy Boyd told nbcnewyork.com that one of his officers took the star to the police station after seeing her walking in the middle of a street, slapping cars that were driving by.

He added: "Nothing major, but we can't put up with it.

"We don't treat the cast differently than anyone else."

An eyewitness livetweeted the incident and also claimed she spotted on/off couple Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola getting into a fight.

She wrote: "Currently watching deena from the jersey shore getting arrested.

"Deena was dancing wasteddd in the middle if the street and was arrested right in front of my car hahaha (sic)."

Deena was later released on a summons and was seen being escorted from the police station by her parents.

Her pals including Ronnie, Jennifer JWoww Farley and Nicole Snooki Polizzi also visited her at the police station and were seen laughing as they emerged.

MTV's camera crew filmed the incident and it is likely to be shown when the new series airs. - Bang Showbiz
