Find the perfect dress for every occasion...
Recently a colleague told this writer a bizarre story about a ghost that can be seen on a highway to Durban. Highway Sheila is said to be the name of the said paranormal being. There are several accounts of how she appears as a stranded woman on the road at night and preys on unsuspecting drivers who offer her a lift.
Sceptics reading this may be amused but those who believe in such things include the guys behind the show Monster Project: Jersey Devil. If you think the idea of Highway Sheila is spooky, do not watch Monster Project.
Apparently a creature which has a man’s torso, the head of a horse, the wings of a bat and goat’s feet can be spotted in a park in the US state of New Jersey.
Sightings of the creature inspired the filmmaker Judah Friedlander to go on an investigative mission to exhume the truth behind this mysterious being.
On the show we see Friedlander and his crew of cryptozoologists (those who study hidden animals), take on the mission to find out exactly what is going on in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens.
Methinks this is probably some sick joke being played by some clown who loves Tim Burton’s movies.
It probably started off as a joke among friends but when some people outside got freaked out, the jokers decided to milk it.
That said, not seeing something does not mean it doesn’t exist. If you look at the number of shows dedicated to paranormal activity on Crime & Investigation, you may think there has to be something to it. The stories usually involve people who died horrible deaths and their souls are believed to return to haunt the living.
In Monster Project there are reports of the beast in question being allegedly notorious for raiding farm chickens, destroying crops and killing animals.
So it is not just an investigation out of curiosity but this crew needs to pin down the perpetrator and ascertain whether it is a human or if indeed it is a mysterious being. Watch at your own peril.
