Call for independent productions: The State Theatre is offering South African theatre practitioners the opportunity to stage their work shown at two of its theatre spaces, the Momentum theatre and the Intimate theatre, for the period July 2014 to March 2015, under the banner of its independent theatre programme STIPP (The State Theatre Independent Productions Programme). STIPP offers a platform to independent theatre practitioners where they can stage their productions at the State Theatre with no venue charges and receive technical support including the use of State Theatre resources like décor, costume, marketing and a fee of R25 000 for each production.
