The SA State Theatre is looking to audition actors, singers and dancers for a new musical theatre production called Africa’s Own Madonna: The Lebo Mathosa Musical. It’s written by Sello Maake ka Ncube and Sibongile Ngubane and directed by Sello Maake ka Ncube, and chronicles Mathosa’s life from her teen years through her coming into prominence and culminating in her solo career until her untimely death. Singers and actors who come for the audition are expected to prepare a song and a monologue. Artists should be able to either sing or dance.
