Circle of Memory by Eleanor Coppola. The son of Eleanor and Frances Ford Coppola, Gian-Carlo, died in a boating accident in 1986 at the age of 22. While in mourning, Eleanor took part in a remembrance ceremony at a passage tomb in Ireland, which affected her profoundly. In the multi-media installation Circle of Memory, she and five other artists reinterpreted the passage tomb. At the centre is a circular room, made of bales of straw, where the memories of visitors from all over the world can be written on slips of paper and inserted into the straw. Ends May 9.
