AT this time of the year, I think it’s safe to say Durban is synonymous with the biggest beach parties offering killer entertainment. With summer in full gear, party-goers across KZN are amped as they wait for South Africa’s premium beach party: Hunter’s Longest Day at Aquafest.

Earlier this year, Durban’s New Beach was decked out in white for the Aquafest Winter Wonderland which drew impressive crowd. So if that was anything to go by, expect a rocking party for the summer edition.

In a Vodacom press release, Pumza Soga said: “South Africa has a huge cache of talent, much of which is as yet untapped. Events such as Aquafest Summer Edition give corporates an opportunity to expose such talents.”

The 12-hour party takes place at New Beach on Durban’s Golden Mile. Over the years, Aquafest has become a major event on the KZN calendar as thousands flock to the beach for an unforgettable experience.

And let’s not forget, it’s the music that draws thousands to our shores. The line-up for Aquafest on Saturday includes Dino Bravo, Euphonik, Dean Fuel, Gareth Cliff, Roger Goode, Deon Govender and more.

With the talented Euphonik on the bill, things are sure to heat up. Able to please a diverse crowd in the clubs and on the radio, South Africa loves this dance DJ and can’t get enough of him. The same can be said for 5FM’s Cliff and Goode who are also crowd-pleasers known to leave audiences wanting more.

Bravo is an artist to look out for. Born in Cuban, he is influenced by Latin and African rhythms. He has quite a following and has remained faithful to his indigenous sounds yet constantly reinvents himself.

As for Durban’s Deon Govender (Deon G), this has been a good year for the East Coast Radio jock. Having walked away with the title Best DJ (against Black Coffee, DJ Tira and DJ Sox), Deon G is sure to give Aquafest fans the time of their lives.

Fans at Aquafest will be spoilt for insane mixes with these DJs around.
