USHAKA MARINE WORLD: Dolphins by Starlight with the theme park’s super stars – queens of splash Affrika, Tombi, Khanya and Zulu, saltwater showmen Kelpie, Jula, Khwezi and Ingelosi and show-stopper Gambit. A Christmas tradition, the show features selected top 100 Christmas songs that extend from well-known carols to contemporary favourites and a smattering of classics. Produced and directed by uShaka Marine World’s Wayne R Scott and choreographed by Shelly Hoggard, Dolphins by Starlight features Dewald Louw (kykNET’s first Idols winner), supper theatre diva Marion Loudon and home-grown young choral talent Jonathan Johansen behind the mics. IZULU THEATRE, SIBAYA CASINO: The Michael Jackson musical biography HIStory II comes to Durban. A spectacular musical biography of Jackson’s life opens on Thursday and runs until January 6, with one special perfor- mance being staged at Sun International’s Wild Coast Sun on December 26. This musical biography will take fans back to the Jackson 5 era before continuing on a thrilling journey to this decade and features more than 20 songs performed live by impersonator Kenny Wizz. WESTRIDGE STADIUM: Mbongeni Ngema’s Committed Artists Foundation will present the inaugural Siyagiya Durban International Music and Cultural Carnival 2012. It’s a grand-scale live entertainment event at Durban’s West Ridge Park Stadium to be held on December 21. This year’s components will comprise a concert, running from 1pm to 7pm, followed by a mainstage extravaganza from 8pm to 1am. Siyagiya’s line-up includes Isicathamiya groups, gospel groups and popular artists such as Zonke, Freshlyground, Mbongeni Ngema, Thandiswa Mazwai, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Jimmy Dludlu and more.
