GIG OF THE WEEK

Presidential Rock

Live, The Venue, Morningside (tomorrow)

Calling all rock fans! Tomorrow night, the Presidential Rock gig will ensure rock cranks through the speakers at Live – The Venue, 166 Matthews Meyiwa (Stamford Hill) Rd, Morningside.

The line-up will include some of Durban’s killer rock bands, up-and-coming and established, such as The Kris Xenopoulos Project, We Were Archers, Systraat Serenade and The Car Boot Vendors, Durban’s old-school folk/punk and rock ’n’ roll band who took their name from childhood memories of the morning Sunday car boot market opposite the Greyville race course and have a large musical presence in and around Durban.

Last month they returned to the stage after a year’s hiatus and will now rock audiences again with familiar songs such as Middle Class Hero, These Are My Him’s, Lousy Chords and more!

• Tickets cost R50. Doors open at 8pm. Info: Bronwyn at 031 303 9481 or e-mail bronwyn@ livethevenue. co.za or see www.livethe venue.co.za. – Tonight Reporter
